You will surely have heard of the Vikings, the “Men of the North” (or Norsemen), from whom beautiful Normandy takes its name. Indeed, the region is so beautiful that it attracts envy, inspires artists and welcomes thousands of holidaymakers. The Allies chose to land on the Normandy beaches during the Second World War and proceeded to liberate France. A turning point in history!
